What does the Messiah truly mean by, As I have loved you, one another? Why does Jesus say, He that forsaketh not all that he hath, can not be my disciple? We are taught what these sayings mean through the Spirit as we draw nearer to the Lord God. Follow me, as I follow after the Christ. We will look at the teachings of the Holy One and compare them one with another. We will dive deep through the Bible and through the Strong’s Concordance. So that we can understand the principles behind self denial, and what abstinence actually means. By looking at the teachings of the Apostles throughout the New Testament, we will be able to ascertain a principle necessary to be a Disciple of Jesus Christ.
Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. – Matthew 19:21. “While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
