When the Lord Jesus Christ is calling you back Home you say to yourself, “should’ve stayed, were their signs, I ignored?” – Linkin Park. “And he said, A certain man had two sons: And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.”
“And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.”
Jesus tells us in John 10:34 when quoting Psalm 82, “Is it not written in your Law, I said ye are gods?” Let’s take a look at Psalm 82 using the Strong’s Concordance breakdown with the Hebrew included.
In the Original language, it says Elohim: gods in the ordinary sense, of the Supreme God, ANGELS! Angels that will now die like men and fall like one of the princes. In the Book of Jude, in the New Testament, we are told about the Angels which kept not their First Estate (Heaven).
Jude 1:6 above says that these Angels who left their First Estate are in chains of darkness (ligaments of the flesh) until the day of judgement. Part of Jesus mission was to restore sight to the blind (darkness). Jude 1:7 says that they have given themselves over to fornication going after strange flesh. Flesh that is different then their own. Flesh that is different from being an angel. They are now carnally minded, in the body, as is human nature with it’s frailties and passions, and SPECIFICALLY human beings. Jesus mission in Luke 4:18 was this, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the CAPTIVES, and recovering of SIGHT to the BLIND…”
We are told by the Messiah in John 8, “And ye shall know the truth (who we are, where we come from, why we are here, and what WE ALL must do to go back Home), and the TRUTH shall make you free.” Now we can also understand why Peter says, “Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul.” Finally, the parable of the Prodigal son who left home with his inheritance isn’t a parable at all. It is the story that Jesus gave us which says that we are all the Prodigal son’s who left Heaven, took our eternal life, and wasted it on riotous living. All we need to do is to turn back to the Father, say I am sorry, forsake it all, and return unto Him. For He is the Author and Finisher of our faith, the Beginning and the End. Think of it as this, the author and the beginning are the first estate as angels. Before the creation of this world. The finisher and the end are where we end up after being set free by our Savior… back at the Beginning. “For he that forsaketh not all that he hath, cannot be my disciple.” The same as the prodigal son who came to his senses and wanted only to return Home. “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow me.” It means letting go of your flesh, letting go of this world, letting go of everything here, and being in the same WAY as the LORD. “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man cometh unto the Father but by Me.” He confirms the previous two verses with this statement. May you be blessed with the spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, our Lord. And may He uphold you by His generous Spirit.
